Wednesday Hodgepodge for 11/6/24
2. What's the boldest piece of clothing in your wardrobe?
I dress for comfort. I’m not an exhibitionist.
3. Do you think common interests or common values are the key to people getting along? Elaborate.
Common values are important, but I don’t believe people will ever be able to get along, at least not until Jesus steps on earth—when every knee will bow and every tongue confesses Jesus Christ as Lord.
4. November 6 is National Nacho Day...do you like nachos? How do you like yours? Do you make them at home or only order out?
I like nachos. We have nachos for dinner many times. They are easy to make at home, and I can add all the extras I like! I've never ordered out for nachos.
5. Have you spent any time in Washington D.C.? If so what did you think? If not, is that a place you'd like to visit? What do you think about politics as a career choice?
Yes, I have visited a couple of times. I always enjoyed DC and would love to go back.
I’m not impressed with politicians
and I don’t have a strong opinion on politics as a career choice.
6. Insert your own random thought here.
Faith without Works is dead!

Flying into DC one time in the dark was awesome. Seeing all of the national monuments lit was amazing overhead. I prayed to God that he would steer our nation into right path this election. A historic election where the Republicans control everything now. Lets hope they do the right thing now. Janice
ReplyDeleteWe always drove in from California so flying in seeing all the lights on the monuments would have been awesome. Took us 3 weeks, and we visited family and drove into NYC (which was a mistake) and DC was awesome.
DeleteLove it.

Thank you
DeleteYour hodgepodge answers were all pretty much in line with how I would have answered. My boldest piece of clothing is a pair of leggings that are black and orange. I don't wear them often, but when I do, I wear a long Black sweat shirt with them. LOL.. Nachos are a favorite around here, but we don't have them often because of Sam's liver issue. Absolutely ....Faith without works is Dead. Sending you hugs today...
ReplyDeleteBlack and orange leggings is very bold. Thanks for the hugs
DeleteI totally agree about people never getting along. The bible says there will always be wars, too. I was born and raised in D.C.!
ReplyDeleteThe Bible also says we’ll always have the poor too.
DeleteWow that must have been a fun place to grow up. I bet you’ve seen a lot.
I agree with your assessment that humans cannot permanently and peacefully coexist with each other
ReplyDeleteWe can still show kindness.
DeleteGreat answers. I've driven through DC and visited a few things, but really never wanted to be near all the traffic and hype of it. I prefer to watch it from a great distance.
ReplyDeleteWe drove back and it was not summer when it has the most tourists
DeleteOh Debby, your answer to #2 made me laugh so hard, thank you for that.
ReplyDeleteI also liked your answer to #3!!
Praying!!! Our nation is broken. May the Light of the world spread over our land and we can begin to heal.
Carla
lol - I had to look what I wrote.
DeleteYes may our country begin to heal.
I love nachos, too, Debby, and I enjoyed your answers here today. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteThanks Martha
DeleteI love your response to #3. That's perfect!
ReplyDeleteTruth!
DeleteThat's good news on #1. Great answer for common interests and common values. Glad you enjoy nachos. They are a nice treat. Glad you have been to DC. I would love to visit someday. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day as well
DeleteI enjoy dressing up but on the daily am dressed for comfort. D.C. has much to offer tourists and some great restaurants too. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI used to enjoy dressing up - not so much anymore
DeleteUmmm, nachos are so good. We have them often for dinner at home too. I have never ordered out for them.
ReplyDeleteI have been to DC a couple of times. One as chaperones for our high school church group. We were going to the DC 88 youth convention. Awesome time being a tourist and staying on a property on Capitol Hill. The other time I was there was as a tour guide for a group from the UK. We only spent a few days there before moving on, but it was fascinating to see things from another perspective.
I'm not impressed with politicians either and would never want to be one.
Praying for our Nation and those in authority now.
Sue
Sounds like a lot of fun, Sue. Always keeping praying for our leaders and our country
DeleteSome pretty cool answers here, I liked them
ReplyDeleteThanks Jo-Anne
DeleteTo the point and succinct! I enjoyed your answers. Happy Hodgepodge to you!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ellen.
DeleteInteresting answers to the questions you wrote.
ReplyDeleteI've never been to Washington D.C. even though it would be good to be there. I've seen it online though. I did watch a video that Franklin Graham put up when the statue of Billy Graham was put in an area of the white house. That's Franklin's dad. I wear cozy clothes as well and have bought two new flannel shirts. It's been cold lately but more sun today which was good to see again. Books are cheaper when I get them for free. I rarely get books as I have enough to read and do bible study.
I don’t have time to read books. Same with me, the only book I study is the Bible.
DeleteI like your answer to number 3. So true!
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by Maria
DeleteThanks for your visit. I'm all for dressing for comfort too.
ReplyDeleteThis was a thoughtful and reflective post! It’s great how you appreciate your health, something many of us often take for granted. Your perspective on common values and the importance of faith is a powerful reminder of how deeply personal beliefs shape our worldview. Plus, I love that you make nachos at home—there's something special about customizing them just how you like!
ReplyDeleteI just shared a blog, please let me know what you think: https://www.melodyjacob.com/2024/11/why-duex-float-portable-monitor-is-game-changer.html
Great number 3 answer and so true!!
ReplyDeleteWe like nachos here too and have then often.
I enjoyed your answers. I too dress for comfort. I laughed because In my answer i wrote I didn't have anything bold...but then realized I'm sitting here wearing a blue pair of leggings that could be considered bold and I do have a few pair of lularoe leggings that are definitely bolder in their patterns
