Christmas Reds
So many red cars all decked out
Up and down the street
I saw other colors but red seemed to be the color of the evening.
A red bow adorns our towns new trolley
The red marquee of our historic little cinema
Built in 1933
The reds in the Christmas lights always seems to outshine the others
Friday was the 106th year of the annual Christmas tree lighting.
A little toddler hopped out of his little coup - complete with a small Christmas tree.
Of course jolly old Santa made his appearance to the delight of the little ones
Okay, it's white but so fine.

I think my favorite is the white with blue lights. You got a great variety of photos! That's a wonderful trolley!
ReplyDeleteThe white one really was pretty and the photo doesn't truly capture its charm.
DeleteOur little town this year did a fire truck parade...again red. Another town I know of here does a tractor parade and another just does a horse parade. Oh yeah and another does a boat parade on the river. So festive and fun! I too like that white car. Janice
ReplyDeleteVehicle parades seem to be the thing now days, complete with lights. They're pretty and who doesn't like the pretty lights?
DeleteHow very jolly. It's lovely to see so many people really getting into the spirit of the season. I love the small child's decorated toy car.
ReplyDeleteI know, that was so cute to see him, park it and go off running.
DeleteThis is so neat!! love the cars all decorated up. I attended our local Christmas parade this past Saturday night. I'm still puzzled how the lights stay on the cars. The jeeps were wrapped in lights. I enjoy these kind of celebrations and they make the Christmas season fun.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea how they do the lights. I would imagine they have to drive slow to keep all the garland, bows and lights on.
DeleteThis looks so fun! I love all the red cars and your trolley is great!
ReplyDeleteA few years ago we did up a little car like that for Cassie and they used the picture for their Christmas Card.
Cute idea
DeleteI love all the decorated cars, Debby. I've never seen anything like it! And Santa does look a bit pensive in the photo. Wonder what he's thinking? Naughty or nice? Blessings!
ReplyDeleteSanta was listening to, two little girls and I cropped them out of the photo. It was cute.
DeleteAwww, that toddler-mobile is the cutest! I'm not big into car shows, but I'd definitely stop and linger at these beautiful red buggies! Just look how they shine!
ReplyDeleteI'm not either on the car shows. My town does a huge car show in April and my motto is, "seen one seen them all". But the lights and a few sprinkled around is just right.
DeleteWhat a fabulous Christmas parade. 106 years of tree lighting is quite amazing.
ReplyDeleteI love those traditions. Red sure gives a POP to the season.
Tonight is our Small Group Christmas dinner at our home. I'm really looking forward to it. Its a potluck and for the first time I'm not doing the main dish. Homemade chicken enchiladas set the theme ... I just know its going to be yummy. There will be 9 of us. We are missing 2 couples that now live out of state. So sad after 13 years of being together. I love that they manage to drop in on occasion, since we are truly "Family".
Sue
That sounds like fun Sue. Can you call them during the party or zoom or facetime with them?
DeleteThey really do up lights there. I like the red and the white. I like the trolley too. Anything Christmas. We have a few doing that here too.
ReplyDeleteOh, that was fun! I love it. Thanks for sharing it with us. I love classic cars, no matter what color they are, but the red is great for this time of year. That white T-Bird is really sweet, however....
ReplyDeleteThe cars were all nice, but the Little Tykes one made me smile.
ReplyDeleteSo many lovely red cars, and the last white car was fine.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
We have been to a lot of car shows here. This parade of cars is gorgeous. I am partial to red at Christmas (as many people are) but by the end of the holidays I am done with it and eager to put all of the red away!
ReplyDeleteOh Debby, I LOVE the "festivas" red cars. My old car is red, too. I am SO HAPPY it's not black, gray, or white. It seems hundreds upon hundreds of cars around here are those drab colors. Well, white's not drab but it's not a heart-thudding color. I LOVE red. Your town really knows how to do up Christmas spirit. That is so wonderful. Thanks so much for visiting Writing Straight from the Heart and for commenting, too! Have a happy Christmasy week, Debby. Susan
ReplyDeleteRed certainly is a Christmas color! Everything looks so festive and pretty! I love the white car with the blue lights!
ReplyDeleteSo sweet.. that little toddler coup. ;-) I love it.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing all the photos, this was fun.
Fun times. Every car that has been mine has been red!!
ReplyDeletemy favorite is the trolley but I love them ALL and everything you showed us is so festive.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful variety of photographs ... the toddler car made me smile :)
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Love the photos with the red and I can't believe it's been 106 years with the tree lighting.
ReplyDelete106 years is impressive.
