Aurora Borealis in the North State
#1
Photos from around my area from those who captured its beauty.
This one is my favorite, Mt Shasta.
#2
On Tuesday, October 8th, a geomagnetic storm occurred as a result of the Earth being hit by a surge of charged particles, also known as "plasma," that originated from sunspot AR 3848 on the sun.
#3
Mt Lassen
Looks like Lake Helen
#4
Mt Lassen
Awesome!
#5
A different look - very cosmic looking...
#6
Of course, I love trees, so this is a nice one as well.
#7
A Country Road
#8
Another favorite because of the trees
Today's potluck was a big success! Everyone loved my casserole – it disappeared in no time. There was also a mouthwatering, juicy grilled Tri-Tip that someone brought, and it was absolutely delicious.
I plan to make it again for us, this coming week. I will make a few minimal tweaks but it was very tasty. Oh and of course I will christen it with an official name.
So which photo was your favorite?
I hope this finds you all well.
Debby

So beautiful! I think #5 is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteGlad the potluck went well. Now I need to go back and save your recipe!
I made it last night, and I didn't enjoy it as much, but my husband liked it. Maybe it was too soon.
DeleteNumbers 3 and 8 are my favorites, but they are all magically glorious!!! Like God was painting the sky!
ReplyDeleteYes indeed!
DeleteHi Debby! Oh my gosh, the beauty of the Aurora Borealis! The photos were all beautiful! We were able to see it here in Idaho as well. I wasn't able to get any photos, so I'm so happy that you shared... Just beautiful! Barb
ReplyDeleteIt is rare to be able to see it around here.
DeleteBeautiful pictures. A lot of people here in PA said they saw it too but I missed it. I'm sad I did not see it.
ReplyDeleteThere will be more.
DeleteWow, these defy words! Almost other-worldly. I think the last one is my favorite. I'm not particularly interested in astronomy, but I love star-gazing.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to hearing what you name your new dish.
I like to star gaze - we have a telescope and we really need to use it more often.
DeleteLook at you! you have created a new great tasting dish. Now to see what you name it. Of course, you will have to share the recipe with your new tweaks. Each photo is outstanding, but I guess I would have to choose #1 and #3. Our area witnessed a very small bit of the northern lights, but nothing compared to these photos. God is amazing!!
ReplyDeleteLOL Well, as I mentioned to Mari, I made it yesterday, and I wasn't as sold out about it as I was on Sunday. My husband still enjoyed it. Maybe it was too soon.
DeleteI love them all. I have never had an opportunity to see the Northern lights. I would love to someday. Thank you for sharing these.
ReplyDeleteIt seems we are seeing more and more of these things: comets, moons, and northern lights...
DeleteI can't choose!! #1 beautiful #3 Stunning #4 Equally stunning...
ReplyDeleteI sure wish we could have seen them down here in the Flatlands.
Glad your potluck turned out well. I need a new recipe so maybe you can pass your casserole one along.
Sue
I heard they were seen as far south as LA. I don't know...
Delete#1 .... wow, all of it is just lovely, what a gift God has given us.
ReplyDeleteCarla
You got that right!
DeleteI can't choose a favorite, Debby, as they are all too wondrous for words. Thanks for sharing another miracle from God!
ReplyDeleteYes, another miracle from God.
DeleteMy favorite is the very first one, though they all are awesome!!
ReplyDeleteI agree
DeleteI think #1....or maybe #4! They all are beautiful. Creation is often beyond words. Thanks for sharing - and happy Monday to you!
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday and Tuesday to you too, Jennifer.
DeleteSuch beauty. We saw it here in Massachusetts as well. Absolutely awesome.
ReplyDeleteIt was seen in many places it is normally not seen.
DeleteWonderful photos
ReplyDeleteThanks Jo-Anne
