A Peaceful Haven
In the gentle embrace of nature's beauty, tranquility envelops me, creating a peaceful haven where stillness reigns supreme.
In a world filled with noise and chaos, I crave the serene embrace of tranquility.
As the moments unfold, time seems to stretch, allowing me to savor each second. Time moves so quickly and I don't want to miss a thing.
I sit by the water's edge as Laydee joyfully splashes in the water. Around us, ducks and geese glide effortlessly at a distance, and dragonflies flit gracefully above. while raptors are soaring overhead.
There is a symphony of nature’s whispers. I can hear it - creating a moment that feels both wild and serene.
The waters shimmer like glass under the sun, embraced by a background of lush forests, untouched by wildfire.
The hot, dry sun blazes in the sky, but its deep warmth seeps into my bones, which feels undeniably good.
A tranquil sanctuary
In the distance, a dam stands proudly, guarding the flowing snowmelt from a long, snowy winter. Its protective embrace nurtures the vibrant life that now flourishes within this sanctuary, a testament to nature's resilience and beauty.
On this calm day of rest, my spirit grows stronger. I take a deep breath - it's time to start my way back home. May the sweetness of this quiet time give me strength throughout this week ahead.
Lewiston, Lake in the Trinity Alps.

DeleteSuch nice words to go with your lovely lake photos, Debby. We do need places like this to spend time at, and I wanted to do just that this week. I have never heard of this lake before, I'll have to look it up. I'm sure Laydee had so much fun exploring. I like all your photos, but there's something about picture 5. So peaceful.
ReplyDeleteA happy week to you.

Oh Laydee had so much fun.
DeleteYou have so many wonderful places to be one with nature. I feel the peacefulness of each photo you posted.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
That's why I love it here - I think all my years growing up in a bustling area like the San Francisco Area, I was so ready to give it all up for this quieter lifestyle and so many places to explore.
DeleteA refreshing and tranquil place to be, Debby. We all need those quiet refuges to regain our inner peace and connect with God. The lake reflections remind me the peace that passes all understanding. Blessings, my friend!
ReplyDeleteI find I need them more than ever.
DeleteHow I wish I could find someplace like that around here.
ReplyDeleteOff the beaten path, I’m sure there are - you just haven’t found it yet.
DeleteYou are so blessed to live in such an extraordinary and beautiful place!
ReplyDeleteWe enjoy it here.
DeleteHow very, very beautiful and healing. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteYes, very much so!
DeleteThe pictures themselves tell the story. So peaceful!
ReplyDeleteYes, they do.
DeleteThat is a glorious landscape.
ReplyDeleteYes it is and one of my favorite places to just sit and think
DeleteBeautiful blog

DeleteThose photos speak to me of my childhood. Fir trees, lakes, mountains.
ReplyDeleteAs it does for me too.
DeleteBeautiful Debby, thank you for the photos and the words.
ReplyDeleteCarla
Thanks Carla.
DeleteIt does sound peaceful. Thank you for sharing. Sorry I haven't been around. My lungs are very bad and I just can't read a lot of blog posts at this time. Take care.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear about your lungs. I hope it gets better.
DeleteI love your sentence of the symphony of nature's whispers. That's what I hear when we used to camp in the redwoods. The music of nature. I can hear and smell it now..thank you. I crave that !
ReplyDeleteSue
It is special when you can hear nature's symphony. I totally love the redwoods too, and those adorable stellar jays that flit from tree to tree and tease us while we're munching on our food.
DeleteIt's clear you cherished every moment by the shimmering water, absorbing the sun's warmth and the whispers of nature. Hopefully, that sweet, quiet time provides ample strength for the week ahead.
ReplyDeleteAnd who doesn't need a little extra strength
DeleteWhat gorgeous pictures. Did the fire get contained now? Janice
ReplyDeleteNo. Only at 5%, it has now grown to 14,285.3 acres. Due to the terrain, it will burn till Fall.
DeleteA sanctuary, indeed. (I love that word!) I love that you brought Laydee along, that she, too, might absorb every moment.
ReplyDeleteAlthough she may not walk very well these days, it's impressive how well she swims. The vet says swimming is excellent exercise for her.
DeleteSuch beautiful photos
ReplyDeleteThanks - its a beautiful area
DeleteBeing in nature always recharges me.
ReplyDeleteI seem to need a lot of recharging lately!
