Where Time Seems to Slow Down

Once again, the season has arrived - the one I eagerly await each year. There’s nothing quite like gathering around a crackling fire nestled in a serene redwood forest during the Fall.  As we sat there with Laydee, the warmth of the flames danced before us, casting flickering shadows on the trees. It was a moment of tranquility, a perfect embrace of nature’s beauty.

Last month we enjoyed glamping in a 1969 vintage airstream trailer, which was a perfect way to spend a few days and nights enjoying the season.  Nestled in a peaceful grove of Redwoods, with its sprawling 6 acres of complete privacy was a hidden gem.

Autumn doesn’t seem like a "fancy season." This is likely because we can never duplicate or create anything as stunning and magnificent as the Fall season -  the beautiful trees adorned for the bounty of fall.

Redwood trees are classified as evergreen rather than deciduous since they retain their needle-like leaves throughout the year. However, simply being present in a redwood forest creates an autumn atmosphere with the refreshing chill of the woods and the dampness of the coastal fog.

Large ferns thrive next to and under redwood trees.

A peaceful haven where time seems to slow down - it's a place that invites relaxation and reflection. I can genuinely see myself living here, embraced by the forest.

  9. I would love to stay in an Airstream in the Redwoods. I have been to Sequoia and seen the Redwoods there. There is a small grove of Redwoods about 20 miles from me at a park. I love to be in the forest with all the beautiful trees! Enjoy the cooler weather!

    1. Very quiet there with the exception of those stellar jays hoping from tree to tree. Fun to watch them.

I WANT to stay in that Airstream and breath in the damp woody fragrance of the trees and the crackling fire.
