The weekend and What's Ahead for This Week
As the season unfolds, all types of events and happenings are popping up everywhere! I will have to prioritize the truly special ones.
What an exciting day yesterday was! Our wonderful Christian community came together to celebrate the upcoming opening of a new Pregnancy Care clinic set for January. Back in March, a call to action was called to many the churches, to raise one million dollars to purchase this building and support operations for the first year.
Thanks be to God, they were able to purchase the building and the 2 acres with an all-cash purchase. Now that is a God-job and a definite reason to celebrate!
In one special room, inspiration flowed freely as we were invited to unleash our creativity and write on the walls. The space buzzed with energy, encouraging us to leave our mark in vibrant words and thoughts.
The facility is absolutely fantastic! It will feature a spacious boutique filled with free maternity and infant/toddler clothing, equipment, toys, diapers, and more.
I’ve been meaning to fill you in on the latest about my husband’s tooth -
He visited an endodontist who confirmed that the tooth pulp was not dead. The infection was successfully cleared, and a temporary crown was placed. Now, he awaits the new crown from his primary dentist in December. Best of all, he's pain-free and grateful he went to the VA for antibiotics, which truly aided in his healing.
Pretty little mushrooms all around -

Foodie will be celebrating his 45th birthday on the 23rd, and he’s excited for his beloved “Man vs Wild” weekend! He’s set to embark on an adventurous four-day backpacking getaway.
Once, he had an unforgettable wild trip in the Trinity Alps when an atmospheric river brought flash floods. During that time, he found refuge at a hunter’s camp, where their outdoor canvas canopies kept him dry by a huge campfire. He even enjoyed some good fellowship and delicious venison while waiting out the storm!
So his adventure wasn't a complete washout!
Not Much!
Right now, I don't have anything urgent on my calendar. My husband has a few appointments, and I have BSF this Wednesday. We'll be volunteering in the Children's program, which is always fun.
Tomorrow is Veterans Day, and my husband is excited for a free meal out! It’s great to see events honoring veterans this week. While we missed the parade at Shasta Lake, we’re looking forward to another ceremony tomorrow at 11am, featuring veteran speakers sharing their stories and live patriotic music. The weather looks good, and we're hoping my veteran son will join us this year. We love celebrating and honoring our veterans. God bless them!
Have a GREAT WEEK AHEAD!

How wonderful that you were able to pay cash for that facility. It will be well used. Glad hubby' tooth condition is better. Your slaw and bread sound yummy too. Of course your pics are just wonderful as well. Janice
ReplyDeleteThanks Janice. It was truly a miracle
DeleteLots going on in your neck of the woods!
ReplyDeleteIt's that time of the year.
DeleteWow. The funding for that new Pregnancy Care clinic is such an amazing initiative. Heartfelt -- especially those words on the wall. They are our future!
ReplyDeleteI hope you and your hubby thoroughly Veterans Day offerings. We don't know them all but we owe them all.
Oh there's more that was amazing that clearly was the hand of God.
DeleteWhat a wonderful post today Debby. There are so many things to be thankful for. Yay on your husband's tooth and being pain free. PTL !
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you will have family celebrations to look forward to. Tis the Season.
The biggest YAY for the new pregnancy center. That's a real God thing to have it all paid for and for cash. God's blessings for the entire community coming together.

“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” – Hebrews 11;1
DeleteSounds like a lot going on, but all good. Glad hubby's tooth is getting fixed! That's always a good thing Glad you got your Thanksgiving plans laid, and also you have your Christmas shopping done! Wow! I've not done either thing yet! I'm assuming we will be doing Thanksgiving here, but I don't know if there will be anyone else besides our immediate family. Our extended family doesn't like to travel the almost 2 hours to get here, and we really don't like to travel there either, so I guess we will be doing our separate dinners and get together some other time at a half way point to visit with the extended family at a restaurant. We do the same thing for Christmas too. Thankfully our own kids are right here, so that makes it easy.
ReplyDeleteOh, your son's adventures for his birthday sound like a lot of fun...for him! If I were young and adventuresome that would be exciting, but I'm way past that age! LOL.
I hope your BSF goes well this week, and that you have a blessed and beautiful week in every way.
By getting the shopping done, we can enjoy the month of December and stay away from the secular hustle and bustle. It's worth it!
DeleteAs I was reading the writings on the wall at the pregnancy care clinic, the last one spoke to me. How fun for your son to have his nature adventure soon. I think that's great that he enjoys the great outdoors so much. Good for you getting all your Christmas shopping done! Haven't really started yet, but I am enjoying my decorated house. Your Asian slaw sounds interesting, and I love zucchini bread. I know you'll make a yummy one for the family. Looks like a peaceful stroll along the Sacramento River trail. And I'm sorry to hear about your nausea, and glad it didn't last long. Maybe something you ate that didn't agree with you? And lastly, I love that first photo.
ReplyDeleteHave a happy November week, Debby.

My house will start getting decorated Thanksgiving weekend. I will look forward to that. Yeah my " morning sickness" could have been something I ate although my husband was fine. Who knows???
DeleteGreat news about your Hubby's tooth.
ReplyDeleteAmazing that the money was raised so quickly for the Pregnancy Care Clinic.
Hope Foodie has a wonderful hike, perhaps just not as exciting as the one you told us about.
God bless.
He does enjoy his adventures!
DeleteThe pregnancy clinic is such a wonderful thing! I love the words on the wall.
ReplyDeleteGlad your hubby's tooth is doing better!
I love mushrooms, you got some good photos.
I loved all the words on the wall. It was very touching.
DeleteOh, wow, Debby! Yes, when a group can pay cash for such a fantastic facility as this, it has the fingerprints of God all over it! Glad to hear that your husband's feeling better and that the tooth issue can be resolved soon. Enjoyed your photos and hearing about your plans for the holidays. You've finished your shopping? Goodness, I haven't even started - LOL. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteGreat about the pregnancy clinic!!
ReplyDeleteGood thing to hear that your husbands tooth isn't giving him pain anymore.
Beautiful photos.
Thank God for modern dentistry!
DeleteThe writing on the wall is perfect! So much better than a pretty paint color! when you were nauseous...wonder if you had eaten something that did not agree with you? I like the large yellow leaves better than the mushrooms!
ReplyDeleteYeah I liked it too. It could have been a spicy Quesadilla we had. It didn't bother the husband
DeleteThat is brilliant to read about the pregnancy clinic ... wonderful.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
God bless you, Jan
DeleteI am so happy to hear about the new pregnancy resource center! We have one here in our town and I like to donate little knitted booties and other baby things.
ReplyDeleteWe will be celebrating Veteran's Day with friends at Denny's with the guys' free meals because they are both veterans. And it is also my son and dil's wedding anniversary. Please tell your husband and son thank you for their service to our country.
How sweet. It will be so close to me, I'd love to be a part of it in someway.
DeleteIt sounds like a full Veterans Day for you as well. We just got home! I'm exhausted. Thank you for your husbands service. I hope your son and dil enjoy their wedding anniversary as well.
Your photos show things so crisp and clear and clean. You have a beautiful area there.
ReplyDeleteGlad you husband's tooth is better.
I am glad you feel better too - the stomach flu is going round.
Yuck I do not like any of that. 😷
DeletePraying for your husband's and your good health.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the opening of the Pregnancy Care clinic.
God bless always.
Thank you Victor. God bless you and yours.
DeleteHey Debby! I love shooting mushrooms!!!! Soooooo sooooooo soooooo glad your hubby is no longer in pain. Wonderful news!
ReplyDeleteMushrooms are so cool! 😎
DeleteThat is wonderful about the buildings and what they will be used for. God Bless. Your escape into nature looks like a nice time. Love the yellow tree. Good news on your husbands tooth. Sorry about your nausea. I love the mushroom photos. Hope today goes well. Take care.
ReplyDeleteWe just got home. Was gone most of the day and I am beat! Fun but will definitely sleep well tonight. 💤
DeleteHappy Veteran's Day and thank you all for your service.
ReplyDeleteMilitary parents/spouses/families too... need prayers, support and hugs.
Congratulations on the Pregnancy Center. My friend Judy use to work for one in a neighboring community. It was very rewarding, but difficult too. Families can be so awful, she shared with me many times how the families or boyfriend just would not support the pregnancy. Many prayers!!!
I am looking forward to Thanksgiving too.
xx oo

Anytime you have to deal with people, whether it's work or ministry, people can be challenging. Yes, active duty families need support as well, as do the spouses who are living with PTSD. It's real.
DeleteHow wonderful about that facility! You are the second person I know who finished their Christmas shopping already!
ReplyDeleteIt's the new trend for 2025! 😉
DeleteYou have done with getting your Christmas shopping done already, I really need to sort out my gift boxes and write down what I have for each person.
ReplyDeleteI pray God's continued blessings on the clinic, what a wonderful thing to pay cash and I like that writing on the wall thing.. so happy the tooth is no longer painting and that it can be saved.
